  • Developing The Witness

    Developing The Witness

Mindfulness is often described as “paying attention.” But how do we actually do that in the middle of real life?

Developing the Witness is a guided workshop designed to help participants cultivate the ability to observe thoughts, emotions, and reactions with greater clarity and less judgment. This skill — often called “the witness” — is foundational to building resilience, emotional regulation, and self-awareness.

This session is open to everyone. No prior experience with meditation or mindfulness is required.

    Who This Workshop Is For

    - Individuals new to mindfulness who want a supportive introduction

    - Those who have tried meditation but struggled to maintain a practice

    - Practitioners looking to deepen their understanding

    - Veterans, service members, spouses, and community members navigating stress or transition

    What We’ll Explore

    - The physical and emotional benefits of mindfulness

    - What it means to “develop the witness”

    - Practical breathing and grounding exercises

    - Guided reflection and discussion

    - Simple ways to integrate mindfulness into daily life

While mindfulness is often practiced alone, learning in community creates space for shared reflection, deeper understanding, and accountability.
